Possible Causes
Leaking fuel line or fitting, Stuck carburetor float, Worn carburetor needle valve, Loose fuel filter connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately shut OFF the generator, close the fuel supply, and disconnect the battery. Do not smoke or create sparks near the unit.
- Inspect fuel lines: Follow all fuel hoses from the tank or regulator to the carburetor. Look for wet spots, cracks, or loose clamps. Replace any damaged hoses with fuel-rated line and secure with proper clamps.
- Check fittings and filter: Tighten hose clamps at the fuel filter and inlet fittings. Replace the All Power America fuel filter if it is leaking or corroded.
- Carburetor flooding: If fuel is dripping from the carburetor, remove the bowl and inspect the float and needle valve. Clean or replace the float needle and seat. Ensure the float height is set to specification.
- Ventilation: Allow the area to air out completely before attempting to restart.
