How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect the battery. Do not place hands near moving parts while running.
- Inspect isolation mounts: Check the rubber engine and alternator mounts between the powerhead and the frame. Replace any mounts that are cracked, collapsed, or oil-soaked.
- Check base mounting: Ensure the All Power America generator base frame is securely anchored to a level concrete pad per installation instructions. Tighten anchor bolts.
- Look for loose components: Tighten all accessible bolts on the enclosure, exhaust, and alternator brackets.
- Rotor balance: If vibration persists and mounts are good, the alternator rotor may be out of balance and require professional balancing or replacement.
