Corrosion visible on battery terminals and nearby metal surfaces

Safety first: Wear eye and hand protection. Battery acid is corrosive.

• Clean terminals: Disconnect battery, neutral first. Neutralize corrosion with a baking soda solution, rinse, dry, and clean with a wire brush.
• Inspect battery case: Replace the battery if the case is cracked or leaking.
• Check charger voltage: Ensure the charger is not overcharging, which can cause excessive gassing.
• Apply protectant: After reassembly, coat terminals with battery terminal grease.
