Possible Causes
Insufficient cranking speed, No fuel delivery, Faulty start relay or starter motor, Engine ECU not enabling fuel
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Avoid repeated long crank attempts to prevent starter and battery damage. Allow the starter to cool between attempts.
- Listen and observe: Note whether the engine cranks but does not fire, or does not crank at all. This guides diagnosis.
- If no crank:
- Check battery voltage and connections.
- Verify the start relay in the control panel clicks when a start is commanded. Replace if inoperative.
- Test the starter solenoid for voltage during crank. If voltage is present but the starter does not engage, replace the starter motor.
- If cranks but no start:
- Confirm fuel level and that fuel isolation valves are open.
- Bleed the fuel system at the filter and injector pump if air is suspected.
- Check engine stop solenoid or fuel actuator is energizing during crank.
- Inspect engine ECU fuses and power supply.
- Review active alarms: Other active shutdown alarms (e.g. low oil pressure, E‑STOP) can inhibit start. Clear root causes first.
If E010 persists after basic checks, a deeper engine diagnostic with OEM tools may be required.
