Generator battery repeatedly goes flat between test runs

Safety first: Use proper PPE when testing batteries and chargers.

• Verify charger supply: Ensure the AC feed to the Atlas Copco battery charger is always energized as designed.
• Measure float voltage: Confirm charger output is within spec. Replace if not maintaining proper float voltage.
• Check for parasitic draw: With the generator off, measure DC current draw from the battery. Identify and correct any unnecessary loads.
• Replace aged battery: If the battery fails a load test or is beyond its service life, replace it.
