How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn controller to OFF, open the AC breaker, and allow moving parts to stop before inspection.
- Check mounting bolts: Inspect and tighten engine and alternator mounting bolts to Champion torque specifications.
- Inspect rubber mounts: Look for cracked or collapsed vibration isolators between the engine/alternator and the base frame. Replace if damaged.
- Check fan and pulleys: Ensure the cooling fan and any pulleys are intact and not missing blades or weights.
- Verify pad stability: Confirm the concrete pad is level and not cracked or sinking on one side.
