Possible Causes
Damaged enclosure seals, missing grommets, improper roof or gutter drainage above unit, open conduit entries
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn controller to OFF, open the AC breaker, and disconnect the battery before drying any moisture near electrical components.
- Dry interior: Use clean towels and gentle airflow to dry water from the controller, wiring, and base. Do not use high heat or open flames.
- Inspect seals and gaskets: Check the enclosure door gaskets, roof seams, and panel joints for cracks or gaps. Replace damaged gaskets.
- Seal conduit entries: Ensure all conduit penetrations are sealed with appropriate fittings and caulk to prevent water entry.
- Correct drainage issues: Redirect downspouts or roof runoff away from the generator pad.
Persistent moisture can corrode electrical components; address the source promptly.
