Generator cranks but does not start, E03 displayed on control panel

Safety first: Turn OFF the generator, close the fuel supply (gasoline valve or LPG/NG shutoff), and disconnect the battery negative. Work in a well‑ventilated area away from open flames.

• Verify fuel supply: Check the gasoline tank level or LPG/NG supply pressure. Ensure the manual fuel shutoff valve at the generator and at the tank/regulator is fully open.
• Inspect fuel lines: Look for kinks, cracks, or wet spots indicating leaks in the fuel hose from the tank to the carburetor or fuel rail. Replace damaged hoses with fuel‑rated line.
• Replace fuel filter: Locate the in‑line fuel filter (often near the fuel pump or carburetor). Clamp the line, remove the old filter, and install a new DuroMax‑compatible fuel filter with the flow arrow pointing toward the engine.
• Prime the system: If equipped with a primer bulb or electric fuel pump, prime until you feel resistance or hear fuel returning to the tank. Then attempt a start.
• Check fuel pump operation: Turn the key to ON and listen for the electric fuel pump. If silent, test for 12V at the pump connector. If power is present but the pump does not run, replace the fuel pump.
• Stale fuel: If gasoline is older than 3 months, drain the tank and carburetor bowl, refill with fresh fuel, and add a fuel stabilizer.
