Possible Causes
Damaged or collapsed engine mounts, Unbalanced rotor, Loose frame bolts, Misaligned exhaust or accessories contacting frame
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect battery negative before tightening or replacing mounts.
- Inspect mounts: Check rubber engine and alternator mounts for cracks, separation, or oil saturation. Replace any damaged mounts with DuroMax‑specified isolators.
- Tighten hardware: Go over all frame, base, and enclosure bolts with the appropriate tools and torque them to spec.
- Check for contact points: Ensure the exhaust, wiring harnesses, and fuel lines are not rubbing against the frame or enclosure panels.
- Rotor balance: If vibration persists, the rotor may be out of balance or bent. This requires professional alternator service.
