Possible Causes
Loose hose clamp, Cracked radiator hose, Corroded radiator core, Faulty water pump seal
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the engine to cool completely before opening the cooling system. Hot coolant can cause severe burns.
- Locate leak: Pressurize the system with a cooling system pressure tester if available, or visually inspect for wet areas around hoses, radiator, and pump.
- Tighten clamps: Snug all hose clamps at the radiator, engine, and thermostat housing.
- Replace damaged hoses: Install new coolant‑rated hoses of the correct diameter and length. Use new clamps.
- Radiator and pump: If coolant seeps from the radiator core or water pump weep hole, these components will need replacement by a technician.
- Refill and bleed: Refill with the recommended coolant mix and bleed air from the system per the manual.
