How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect the battery. Do not place hands near moving parts while running.
- Inspect mounting bolts: Check that the generator base frame is securely bolted to the pad per DuroStar guidelines. Tighten loose anchors.
- Check engine mounts: Look for cracked or collapsed rubber engine mounts between the engine/alternator and frame. Replace any damaged mounts.
- Inspect rotor and fan: Look through access panels for missing balance weights or damaged cooling fans. Replace damaged components.
