Generator enclosure becomes excessively hot to the touch; paint may discolor near exhaust.

Safety first: Shut down the generator and allow it to cool. Do not touch hot surfaces.

• Clear obstructions: Remove any objects, vegetation, or snow blocking the enclosure vents. Maintain DuroStar‑specified clearances on all sides.
• Inspect internal fans: On models with enclosure fans, verify they run when the generator operates. Replace failed fans.
• Check exhaust routing: Ensure exhaust extensions are not directing hot gases back toward the enclosure.
• Consider shading: In very hot climates, provide shade or a ventilated canopy without restricting airflow.
