Generator starts and stops repeatedly in AUTO mode without transferring load.

Safety first: Lock out the main utility breaker and ensure only qualified personnel access the ATS and control wiring.

• Review controller settings: Check the DuroStar controller's utility voltage and frequency thresholds and delays. Adjust to recommended values.
• Inspect sense wiring: Tighten all utility sense connections at the generator and ATS.
• Monitor utility power: Use a power quality meter to check for frequent sags or outages. Coordinate with the utility if supply is unstable.
• Test ATS board: If wiring and settings are correct, the ATS control board may be intermittently signaling start/stop and should be tested or replaced.
