How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Verify that it is safe to allow the generator to run before resetting any emergency stop devices.
Steps:
- Check local E-stop: Locate the red emergency stop button on the generator. If it is latched in, twist or pull (per label) to release.
- Inspect remote E-stops: If your system has remote emergency stop stations, verify none are activated.
- Check wiring: Inspect the E-stop circuit wiring from the switch to the controller for cuts, loose connections, or corrosion.
- Test switch: With power off, test continuity across the E-stop contacts. Replace the switch if it does not change state when operated.
- Clear alarm: After restoring the circuit, clear the alarm on the controller and test start.
