Possible Causes
Dead battery or open battery disconnect, Faulty start relay on control board, Open neutral safety or oil pressure interlock circuit, Broken wire in starter control circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn controller to OFF and ensure the unit cannot start unexpectedly while testing.
Steps:
- Battery check: Measure battery voltage; recharge or replace if below 12.0 V.
- Check fuses: Inspect DC control fuses in the Eaton control panel and replace any blown fuses with correct rating.
- Start signal test: Command a manual start and measure voltage at the starter solenoid control terminal. If no voltage, trace back to the start relay and controller.
- Interlock circuits: Verify that any safety interlocks (E-stop, low oil, etc.) are not open. Bypass testing should only be done briefly by a qualified technician.
