Possible Causes
Partially clogged main jet, Air leak at carburetor gasket, Water or debris in carburetor bowl, Incorrect idle mixture adjustment
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Stop the engine and close the fuel valve before working on the carburetor.
- Drain carburetor: Open the bowl drain screw and drain fuel into a container. Look for water droplets or dirt. Refill with fresh fuel.
- Remove and clean main jet: Take off the carburetor bowl, unscrew the main jet, and clean all holes with carb cleaner and compressed air.
- Inspect gaskets: Check the carburetor mounting gasket and insulator block for cracks or misalignment. Replace damaged gaskets with Einhell parts.
- Adjust idle speed: With the engine warm, adjust the idle speed screw to the RPM specified in the manual so the engine runs smoothly without choke.
Persistent stalling indicates the need for a full carburetor rebuild or replacement.
