Display shows E15 and generator stops shortly after mains power returns
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.
If you are not confident in your ability to perform this repair safely, we strongly recommend contacting a professional technician.
Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Isolate the ATS and generator from the mains. Work only if you are qualified to handle mains voltage circuits.
- Check sensing connections: Verify that the mains sensing wires (often small‑gauge leads from the ATS or mains side) are correctly connected to the Einhell controller terminals as per the wiring diagram.
- Inspect fuses: On the controller PCB, locate any low‑current fuses protecting the sensing inputs. Replace blown fuses with the same rating.
- Measure mains voltage: With power restored and using proper PPE, measure the mains voltage. If it is outside the acceptable range specified by Einhell, the controller may legitimately trigger E15.
- Controller reset: Power down the controller completely for a few minutes, then restart and re‑enter AUTO mode.
If E15 persists with correct wiring and normal mains voltage, the controller's sensing circuit may be defective and require replacement.
