Possible Causes
Broken earth conductor, Loose earth lug on frame, Faulty appliance leaking to earth, Incorrect bonding in installation
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Immediately stop the generator and disconnect all loads. Do not touch the frame until power is off.
- Inspect earth connection: Verify that the PE (protective earth) conductor is securely bolted to the Einhell frame and to the earth rod or building earth bar.
- Test with no loads: Restart the generator with nothing connected. If no tingling is felt, the fault is likely in a connected appliance or building wiring.
- Insulation testing: Have an electrician perform insulation resistance tests on the generator and connected circuits.
Do not operate the generator until proper earthing is confirmed.
