Possible Causes
Blown display fuse, Failed LCD/LED panel, Loose ribbon cable, Controller power supply issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect battery negative before opening the control panel.
- Check display fuse: Locate and test any low-current fuses feeding the display or controller. Replace blown fuses with the same rating.
- Inspect connectors: Reseat the ribbon cable or plug between the controller board and display module.
- Check controller power: Verify that the controller receives proper DC voltage from the battery/charger.
- Replace display module: If power and connections are good but the screen remains blank or garbled, replace the display/HMI module with a Firman-compatible part.
Operating without a functional display is not recommended, as you cannot see fault codes or status.
