Possible Causes
Corrupted controller firmware, Failed memory (EEPROM), Voltage spike or surge damage, Moisture intrusion into controller
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect battery negative. Ensure the enclosure is dry.
- Inspect controller housing: Check for signs of water ingress, condensation, or corrosion on the controller face and connectors. Dry the area and correct any enclosure sealing issues.
- Check power supply: Verify that the controller's DC supply voltage is stable and within specification. Loose connections or failing chargers can cause resets.
- Controller reset: Perform a full power-down reset by disconnecting both battery and any auxiliary DC supply for several minutes, then reconnect.
- Firmware update (if supported): Some Firman controllers may allow firmware reloading via a service tool. This should be done only by an authorized technician.
If E19 persists after reset and environmental issues are corrected, the controller likely needs replacement.
