Safety first: Turn OFF the generator, disconnect battery negative, and wait for all moving parts to stop.

Inspect vibration mounts: Examine the rubber isolators between the engine/alternator assembly and the Firman base frame. Replace any that are cracked, oil-soaked, or collapsed.
Check mounting bolts: Tighten all frame and enclosure bolts. Loose hardware can amplify vibration.
Verify level installation: Use a level to confirm the concrete pad or mounting surface is flat. Shim or re-level the unit if significantly out of level.
Look for rotating imbalance: Inspect the alternator fan and flywheel for missing blades or damage. Replace damaged components.

If vibration remains severe after these checks, a technician should evaluate for internal engine or alternator imbalance.

Generator vibrates excessively, causing the enclosure to rattle and nearby structures to shake.
