Oil is found pooling under the generator or on the base pan.

Safety first: Turn OFF the generator, disconnect battery negative, and allow the engine to cool.

• Check oil level: Verify oil is not overfilled; drain to the correct level if above the FULL mark.
• Inspect drain plug and filter: Tighten the oil drain plug and oil filter to the torque specified by Firman. Replace the filter if its gasket is damaged.
• Clean and recheck: Clean the engine exterior and base pan, then run the generator briefly and re-inspect to pinpoint any remaining leaks.
• Inspect gaskets: If oil seeps from the crankcase seam or valve cover, the gasket may need replacement by a technician.

Address oil leaks promptly to prevent low oil shutdowns and environmental contamination.
