Generator vibrates excessively during operation

Safety First: Turn OFF the generator and allow moving parts to stop before tightening any hardware.

• 1. Inspect mounting bolts: Check all bolts securing the generator to its concrete pad or base frame. Tighten to specification.
• 2. Examine vibration isolators: Look for cracked or collapsed rubber mounts between the engine/alternator and frame. Replace if damaged.
• 3. Check for loose panels: Tighten enclosure panels and doors that may rattle and amplify vibration.
• 4. If vibration persists: Internal rotor imbalance or coupling misalignment may be present and should be corrected by a generator technician.
