Possible Causes
Tripped external emergency stop (E-stop), Open remote shutdown contact, Faulty wiring to auxiliary shutdown terminals, Miswired external device
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Confirm that no real emergency condition exists before resetting any E-stop or external shutdown.
- Check E-stop: Locate the emergency stop button on or near the generator. If it is pressed, twist or pull to reset according to its design.
- Inspect remote shutdown wiring: At the controller terminal strip, identify the auxiliary shutdown or remote stop terminals. Verify that the circuit is closed (normal run condition) if no external shutdown is desired.
- Test external devices: If a fire alarm or building management system is tied into the shutdown circuit, verify that it is not actively commanding a shutdown. Correct any miswiring or faulty contacts.
- Clear alarm: After correcting the cause, set the controller to OFF for 30 seconds, then back to AUTO to clear the alarm.
