  • Check filter and drain plug: Tighten the oil filter by hand plus 3/4 turn. Ensure the drain plug is snug and its gasket is intact. Replace filter or gasket if leaking.
  • Inspect gaskets and seals: Look for oil around the valve cover, crank seals, and oil pan. Replace leaking gaskets or seals.
  • Verify oil level: After repairs, refill to proper level and monitor for further leakage.
