Generator cranks but does not start; control panel displays E02 after several attempts.
Safety Warning
This repair may involve working with high voltage components or water connections. Always unplug the appliance before removing any panels.

Possible Causes
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the generator to OFF, close the gas supply at the main shutoff, and keep all ignition sources away. Work in a well‑ventilated outdoor area.
- Verify fuel source: For LPG, check cylinder level or tank gauge and ensure the service valve is fully open. For natural gas, confirm the building gas shutoff and the Genergy generator branch valve are open.
- Inspect gas line and regulator: Follow the gas line from the supply to the Genergy gas regulator. Ensure flexible hoses are not kinked or crushed. Check that the regulator vent is not blocked by debris or insects.
- Bleed air from line (if allowed by local code): After gas work or a new installation, air may be trapped. Set the controller to MANUAL and allow several short crank cycles (5–10 seconds each, with rest between) to purge air. Do not exceed the crank limits specified in the manual.
- Check gas solenoid valve: With the unit in MANUAL start, listen for a click at the gas solenoid when cranking. If no sound is heard, inspect the solenoid wiring and connector at the Genergy control board. Replace the solenoid if it does not energize with proper voltage.
- Leak check: Apply a soap‑water solution to accessible joints and watch for bubbles indicating leaks. If leaks are found, close gas supply and call a licensed gas technician.
If E02 remains after confirming gas supply and solenoid operation, contact a Genergy‑authorized technician to measure gas pressure under load and verify regulator sizing.
