Generator attempts to crank but stops; E06 appears on the display, often accompanied by a clicking sound.

Safety first: Turn the generator OFF, disconnect the battery negative cable, and ensure the engine cannot start unexpectedly.

• Verify battery and cables: Confirm the battery is fully charged. Inspect the positive cable from battery to starter solenoid and from solenoid to starter motor. Tighten loose lugs and replace frayed cables.
• Check starter solenoid: Reconnect the battery, have a helper attempt a MANUAL start while you listen at the solenoid. A loud click with no crank suggests a bad starter or low voltage; no click suggests a failed solenoid or control signal.
• Bypass test (advanced): If comfortable and safe, briefly bridge the solenoid high‑current terminals with an insulated tool to see if the starter engages. Sparks are normal; do not hold the bridge. If the starter spins, the solenoid is faulty. If not, the starter or engine is suspect.
• Check for engine seizure: With battery disconnected, attempt to rotate the engine by hand at the crankshaft or flywheel using a suitable wrench. If it will not turn, internal engine damage may have occurred.
• Replace faulty components: Replace the starter motor or solenoid with Genergy‑approved parts. Clear E06 and retest.

If the engine appears seized or extremely hard to turn, do not force it; contact a Genergy service center for internal engine inspection.
