Generator shuts down shortly after start; E07 is displayed and the engine feels very hot or the enclosure is unusually warm.

Safety first: Turn the generator OFF and allow the engine to cool completely (at least 30–45 minutes). Do not open the radiator cap on a hot engine.

• Inspect coolant level: On liquid‑cooled Genergy models, check the coolant reservoir and radiator (when cool). Top up with the coolant type specified by Genergy, usually a 50/50 premix. Look for external leaks at hoses, clamps, and the water pump.
• Check air flow: Ensure all intake and exhaust vents on the enclosure are clear of leaves, snow, or debris. Clean the radiator fins with low‑pressure air from the engine side out.
• Verify fan operation: Start the unit in MANUAL with the generator breaker OFF and observe the cooling fan. On belt‑driven fans, inspect belt tension and condition; replace cracked or glazed belts. On electric fans, check the fan relay and wiring.
• Test temperature sensor: Locate the coolant temperature sensor on the engine. Inspect the connector for corrosion. If the sensor reads out of range on the controller diagnostics, replace it with a Genergy‑specified sensor.
• Retest: After corrections, clear E07 and run the generator under light load while monitoring temperature. If overheating recurs, deeper cooling system diagnostics are required.
