Emergency stop button pressed, Open E-stop circuit wiring, Faulty E-stop switch, Miswired remote shutdown contacts
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Verify there is no active emergency (fire, gas leak, etc.) before resetting any E-stop.
- Reset E-stop button: Locate the red emergency stop button on the Guardian generator enclosure. Twist or pull to reset, depending on design.
- Inspect E-stop wiring: Check the wiring from the E-stop switch to the controller for loose connections or damage.
- Remote shutdown contacts: If a remote shutdown circuit is installed, ensure it is not being held open by an external device.
- Test start: After resetting, clear the alarm and attempt a manual start.
- Replace E-stop switch: If the circuit remains open even with the button reset, replace the emergency stop switch.
