Water or moisture accumulation inside generator enclosure; signs of rust or corrosion on components.

Safety first: Turn the controller to OFF, open the main breaker, and disconnect the battery before working around wet electrical components.

• Dry the enclosure: Carefully dry components with clean rags and low-heat air. Do not use open flame.
• Inspect seals and gaskets: Check door gaskets and enclosure seams for gaps or damage. Replace worn seals.
• Improve drainage: Ensure the concrete pad is above grade and that water drains away from the generator.
• Corrosion treatment: Clean light corrosion from terminals and apply dielectric grease. Replace heavily corroded connectors or boards.
