Possible Causes
Tripped external emergency stop switch, Open remote shutdown contact, Faulty wiring to auxiliary shutdown terminals, Miswired external monitoring device
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Verify that there is no active emergency condition before resetting any E-stop or external shutdown.
Steps:
- Check E-stop: Locate the emergency stop button on or near the Honeywell generator. If it is pressed in, twist or pull to reset per the label.
- Inspect remote shutdown wiring: At the controller terminal strip, identify the auxiliary shutdown or remote stop terminals. Ensure any external contacts are closed (if required) and wiring is intact.
- External devices: If a building management system or remote monitor is connected, verify it is not commanding a shutdown.
- Bypass test (temporary): For troubleshooting only, temporarily jumper the shutdown terminals per the wiring diagram to see if the unit will start. Remove the jumper after testing and correct the external wiring.
- Clear alarm: After resolving the cause, clear the Aux Shutdown alarm and return the unit to AUTO.
