- Exercise timer: Check the programmed exercise time and day. Reprogram if incorrect.
- ATS start signal: At the controller terminal strip, verify that the start signal from the ATS closes when utility power is lost (simulate a power outage with proper safety procedures).
- Wiring continuity: Test continuity of the remote start wires between ATS and generator. Repair any breaks.
- Controller replacement: If wiring and ATS operation are correct but AUTO start still fails, the controller may be defective and require replacement.
