Water pooling inside generator enclosure

Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect battery negative before working inside a wet enclosure. Do not operate the unit with standing water present.

Steps:

• Drain water: Remove standing water with a wet/dry vacuum or absorbent towels.
• Clear drains: Locate and clear any drain holes in the Honeywell base pan of debris.
• Inspect seals: Check door gaskets and enclosure seams for damage or gaps. Replace worn seals.
• Site grading: Ensure the pad is level and that water from roofs or sprinklers is not directed at the generator. Adjust landscaping or drainage as needed.
• Dry components: Allow electrical components to dry completely before restarting. Replace any water-damaged parts.
