Possible Causes
Clogged fuel filter, Weak or failed lift pump, Air ingress in fuel lines, Faulty fuel pressure sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator, disconnect battery negative, and keep ignition sources away from fuel.
- Replace fuel filter: Install a new Hyundai-specified fuel filter. For diesel, bleed air using the manual priming pump or bleed screws until fuel flows without bubbles.
- Inspect fuel lines: Check suction and return lines for cracks, loose clamps, or porous hoses that could draw air. Replace any suspect hoses.
- Check lift pump operation: With battery reconnected, turn key or controller to preheat/run position and listen/feel for the electric lift pump (if fitted). If silent, check its fuse and wiring. Replace the lift pump if it does not run with power applied.
- Fuel pressure sensor: Inspect the sensor connector on the common rail or injection pump. Clean and reseat. If E11 persists and mechanical fuel pressure is confirmed good, replace the fuel pressure sensor.
