How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and disconnect the battery before cleaning corrosion.
- Clean battery terminals: Remove cables and clean terminals with a baking soda and water solution, then rinse and dry. Apply dielectric grease.
- Inspect connectors: Unplug corroded Hyundai Power wiring connectors, clean contacts with electrical contact cleaner, and apply contact lubricant.
- Address moisture ingress: Check enclosure seals and grommets. Replace damaged seals to reduce water entry.
- Protect surfaces: Treat exposed metal with anti-corrosion spray or paint as appropriate.
