Possible Causes
Low fuel in tank, Faulty Hyundai Power fuel level sender, Open circuit in fuel level wiring, Incorrect fuel sensor calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn the generator OFF. Avoid open flames or sparks near the fuel tank.
- Verify fuel level: Physically check the fuel tank level using the gauge or dipstick. Refill with the correct fuel type if low.
- Inspect fuel sender wiring: Locate the fuel level sender on the tank. Check the connector and wiring harness for corrosion, damage, or disconnection.
- Test fuel sender: With the sender removed (if accessible), measure resistance across its terminals while moving the float. Compare to Hyundai Power specifications. Replace the sender if readings are open or erratic.
- Controller calibration: Some controllers allow calibration of the fuel level input. Verify settings in the service menu and recalibrate if necessary.
- Clear alarm: After correcting the issue, clear E10 and test start.
