Possible Causes
Incorrect wiring of output phases, Reversed phase connections at transfer switch, Faulty Hyundai Power phase rotation sensor, Loose terminal connections
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator and isolate it from the electrical system. Only qualified electricians should modify phase wiring.
- Verify phase order: Using a phase rotation meter, check the phase sequence (L1-L2-L3) at the generator output and at the transfer switch. They must match the Hyundai Power specification.
- Inspect terminal connections: Tighten all phase conductors at the generator terminal block and ATS. Look for swapped cables or mislabeled conductors.
- Check phase rotation sensor: If wiring is correct, the internal phase rotation sensor or controller input may be faulty. Inspect its wiring harness and replace the sensor if necessary.
- Clear alarm: After correcting phase sequence, clear E14 and test transfer under light load.
