Possible Causes
ATS not signaling return to utility, Stuck Hyundai Power run relay, Controller configuration error, Faulty utility voltage sensing
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Confirm that utility power is stable and within normal limits before forcing shutdown.
- Check ATS operation: Verify that the ATS has transferred load back to utility. If not, troubleshoot the ATS first.
- Utility sensing: Measure utility voltage at the controller sensing terminals. If present but not recognized, the sensing circuit may be faulty.
- Run relay: Inspect the run relay in the control box for contacts welded closed. Replace the Hyundai Power relay if it does not release when commanded.
- Controller settings: Ensure stop delay and cool-down timers are correctly set. Reset to factory defaults if necessary.
- Manual stop: Use the OFF position to stop the generator until the automatic stop function is repaired.
