How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Work in a well‑ventilated area; avoid inhaling exhaust fumes.
- Bleed fuel system: Use the manual priming pump and bleed screws on the JCB engine filters to remove air until fuel flows steadily.
- Replace filters: Fit new primary and secondary fuel filters if they are dirty or overdue for service.
- Check fuel quality: Drain a sample from the tank bottom and filters. If water or sludge is present, clean the tank and refill with clean diesel.
- Governor linkage: Inspect and lubricate mechanical governor linkages. Ensure there is no binding or excessive play.
