Possible Causes
Shorted or open sensor wiring, Failed temperature or pressure sensor, Incorrect sensor type configured, Ground reference issue
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disable auto‑start and isolate as needed before probing wiring.
- Identify sensor: Use the controller event log to determine which sensor (e.g., coolant temp, oil pressure, fuel level) is reporting E19.
- Visual inspection: Check the sensor body and harness for damage, oil ingress, or loose connectors.
- Electrical test: With a multimeter, measure resistance or voltage at the sensor and compare to expected values from the JCB/engine manual.
- Wiring continuity: Test continuity from the sensor connector back to the controller input terminal. Repair any open or shorted wires.
- Replace sensor: If wiring is sound and readings are abnormal, replace the affected sensor with the correct part number.
