Generator vibrates excessively and may move on its base during operation

Safety first: Do not stand on or near a heavily vibrating generator. Shut down immediately to prevent further damage.

• Step 1 – Inspect isolators: Check all rubber mounts between the generator skid and foundation. Replace any torn or missing isolators.
• Step 2 – Tighten base bolts: Ensure the Kipor generator skid is securely bolted to the concrete pad or mounting frame.
• Step 3 – Check coupling alignment: On sets with a flexible coupling between engine and alternator, inspect for misalignment or damaged coupling elements. Realign and replace coupling parts as needed.
• Step 4 – Professional balancing: If vibration persists, have the alternator rotor and engine flywheel checked for balance by a specialist.
