- Check baseframe: Ensure the baseframe is securely fixed to the concrete foundation and that all anchor bolts are tight.
- Visual inspection: Look for loose guards, panels, or accessories that may resonate. Tighten fasteners.
- Alignment (open sets): For sets with separate engine and alternator, have alignment checked and corrected by a specialist using dial indicators or laser tools.
Persistent high vibration can damage wiring, piping, and alternator windings; address promptly.
