Possible Causes

Blown controller fuse, No DC supply to controller, Failed display module, Loose ribbon cable or connector

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn generator OFF, open main breaker, and disconnect battery negative before opening the control panel.

  • Check fuses: Locate and test the low-voltage fuses feeding the controller. Replace blown fuses with identical ratings.
  • Measure DC supply: Verify that 12 V DC is present at the controller power input terminals.
  • Inspect connectors: Reseat the display ribbon cable and other multi-pin connectors on the controller board.

If the display remains blank with proper power, the controller or display module may need replacement by a Kohler service provider.
