Possible Causes
Dead battery, Open start signal wiring from ATS, Faulty start relay in controller, Active emergency stop or safety interlock
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Open main breaker and verify utility status. Do not attempt to jump-start without understanding the system.
- Manual start test: Attempt to start the generator from the local controller. If it starts manually but not automatically, suspect ATS start signal wiring.
- Battery check: Measure battery voltage; charge or replace if low.
- Fuses and relays: Inspect control fuses and the start relay on the controller board for failure.
- E-stop and interlocks: Verify emergency stop is reset and any service switches are in RUN/AUTO position.
If there is still no crank, further diagnosis of the controller and starter circuit by a technician is recommended.
