Generator will not start, control panel shows E01 and immediately shuts down after crank attempt.

Safety first: Turn the generator OFF, disconnect the battery negative cable, and ensure the unit cannot auto-start (disable auto mode). Allow the engine to cool before working on it.

• Check oil level: Remove the dipstick on the Kubota engine and verify oil level is between the marks. Top up with the correct grade (typically 10W-30 or as specified in the Kubota manual). Do not overfill.
• Inspect for oil leaks: Look around the oil pan, oil filter, valve cover, and oil cooler lines for wet or dripping oil. Repair leaks before restarting.
• Check oil filter: Ensure the Kubota oil filter is tight and not damaged. If the unit has many hours or the filter is old, replace it with a genuine Kubota filter and refill oil as needed.
• Test oil pressure switch: Locate the oil pressure switch on the engine block. Inspect the connector for corrosion or loose fit. With a multimeter, verify continuity changes when the engine is cranking (refer to wiring diagram). Replace the switch if it stays open/closed incorrectly.
• Inspect wiring harness: Trace the oil pressure switch wiring back to the Kubota controller. Look for chafed, pinched, or broken wires and repair with proper crimp connectors and heat-shrink.
• Reset and test: Reconnect the battery, clear the alarm on the controller, and attempt a start while monitoring for leaks and abnormal noises.
