Possible Causes
Cracked radiator hose, Loose hose clamp, Leaking water pump seal, Corroded radiator core
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Allow the engine to cool completely before touching any cooling system components. Hot coolant is dangerous.
- Locate leak source: Visually inspect hoses, clamps, radiator, and water pump area for wet spots or dried coolant residue. Use a flashlight and mirror if needed.
- Tighten clamps: Gently tighten any loose hose clamps on upper and lower radiator hoses and heater hoses (if equipped). Do not overtighten plastic fittings.
- Replace damaged hoses: If a hose is cracked, bulging, or soft, drain coolant to below that level and replace the hose with a Kubota-approved part. Refill and bleed air.
- Water pump check: Look for coolant dripping from the water pump weep hole. Persistent leakage indicates a failed seal and the pump should be replaced.
- Radiator repair: If the radiator core is leaking, it may need professional repair or replacement. Do not attempt to solder or epoxy high-pressure areas without proper tools.
