Possible Causes
Stuck choke, Dirty air filter, Misadjusted carburetor, Faulty fuel injector (EFI/diesel)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Run the generator outdoors or with proper exhaust ducting. Avoid prolonged operation while troubleshooting.
- Check choke position: Ensure the automatic choke opens fully after warm-up. Repair or replace the choke actuator if it remains closed.
- Replace air filter: Install a new air filter element if the old one is dirty.
- Carburetor adjustment: On adjustable carburetors, set idle and main mixture screws to Lifan baseline settings. If adjustments do not help, clean or replace the carburetor.
- Injectors (EFI/diesel): Have injectors tested and cleaned or replace the faulty fuel injector causing over-fueling.
