How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn OFF the generator, disconnect battery negative, and isolate from utility power. Wear gloves and eye protection.
- Dry the enclosure: Use fans or gentle heat to dry moisture inside the enclosure. Do not use open flames.
- Clean corrosion: Remove corrosion from terminals and connectors with a wire brush and contact cleaner. Replace severely corroded electrical connectors and terminals.
- Inspect seals and drains: Check door gaskets and cable entry glands. Replace damaged enclosure gaskets. Clear any blocked drain holes at the base.
- Prevent recurrence: Improve site drainage, add a small enclosure heater if recommended by Lifan, and ensure exhaust is properly routed outside.
