Generator starts and stops repeatedly in short cycles without stabilizing.

Safety first: Monitor the generator closely during short cycling and be prepared to shut it down. Isolate from load if voltage is unstable.

• Review controller settings: Check Lifan controller parameters for start delay, stop delay, and warm-up/cool-down times. Reset to factory defaults if misconfigured.
• Utility sensing: Verify that utility voltage is stable and correctly sensed. Fluctuating utility can cause repeated start/stop cycles.
• Fuel supply: Inspect fuel lines and tank venting. A partially blocked vent can cause intermittent fuel starvation.
• Sensors: Observe which safety input triggers shutdown (oil, temp, etc.) and test that sensor for intermittent faults. Replace the offending safety sensor.
