Open remote start wiring between ATS and Lifan controller, Misconfigured controller auto mode, Faulty remote start relay in ATS
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Only qualified personnel should work inside the ATS. Isolate utility and generator sources before servicing.
- Confirm AUTO mode: Ensure the Lifan controller is set to AUTO and not MANUAL or OFF.
- Simulate outage: With supervision, open the utility breaker feeding the ATS and observe whether the remote start signal is sent to the generator.
- Check remote start wiring: Using the wiring diagram, verify continuity of the remote start pair between ATS and generator controller. Repair any open wires.
- Test ATS start relay: Measure voltage at the relay coil during an outage simulation. Replace the remote start relay if it does not energize.
